DE2 Chapter IV Roadmap
Hey guys,
Now that v0.6 has been tested and released, I wanted to give you guys an idea of what is to come in Chapter IV (v0.8)

Vacation:
I will be taking the first half of the summer off after a long 10-month development cycle. Active development of Chapter IV will resume in late July.

Continuity:
Save files from Dark Eternal v0.4 and v0.6 will work; allowing you to resume your progress. (Note: v0.4 BETA and earlier save files will still not work)

Length: 
Chapter IV will be about 7 hours total. This will bring the total gameplay of DE2 to around 22 hours.

Major Plot Points:
Chapter IV is prolific in terms of the overall plot of DE2. Many questions will be answered; and a few major plot twists will occur. Even still, there will be several characters from DE1 that will be making their DE2 debut in this installment.

Labinnac
East Labinnac Boneyard
The Sentient Quagmire
Observation Core Omicron
The Cage (Void Realm)
The Twisting Nether (Void Realm)
The Animus Forge (Void Realm)
Kaiheiki
Savage Gardens
Pandora
The Neutral Zone
Lahana, The Dark Capitol

Systems:
The Rise of Pandora - The lost city deep within the Void Realm that reside between the Living Realm and the Dormant Realm. Discover Pandora, and rebuild the lost city as your new headquarters.

Teleportation System - One of the first buildings that you construct in "Pandora" will allow you to instantly travel back to many of the locations you have visited in the past, allowing you to access content you missed; as well as new content that was previously not available.

Note: As of Chapter IV (v0.8) Dark Eternall II is "Feature Complete". All further systems work will be optimizations/bug-fixes.

Valorous Encounters:

The second set of Valorous Encounters will be available in Chapter IV, upping the stakes and presenting a challenge even greater than that of the initial two bosses. Not for the faint of heart, and tuned for the absolute best gear available; Prepare to see the Game Over screen.. Alot.

Rewards for the next set of Valorous Encounters will be even greater, as well. As Tier 3 essences become a little more common in Chapter IV, a non-common reward is sure to follow the defeat of one of these new, "Exotic Entities".

Timeline:
Beta testing should begin summer 2016, with a full release by Fall 2016.

Hey Guys,

I've decided to make a few changes to the contents of chapter 4, mainly in order to accommodate the decision to add a huge cinematic segment to Zenogias' half of the chapter that was originally planned to be alluded to but never actually seen in the game.

Although "Pandora" will be featured in some form during Chapter IV, you will not yet take control of it as an HQ for your party. This feature, as well as the teleportation system, will be featured in Chapter V (v0.9).

There are several changes for locations in chapter IV:

East Labinnac Boneyard, Savage Gardens and the Neutral zone have all been cut from the game entirely.

The Twisting Nether has been renamed The Astral Prison.

The Animus Forge has been moved back to Chapter V.

'The Sentient Quagmire' has been reworked and renamed, 'The Blood Orchard'.


Kaiheiki will no longer be in Chapter IV, and may be cut from the game entirely.

Although several planned features and levels were cut from chapter IV, the overall length will still remain around 7 hours total, if not longer.
